promoting sustainable organic farming and fair trade.
At present, about 35 farmers growing vegetables and fruit, and more
than a 100 farmers growing cereals, pulses, millets, and oilseeds are
part of Gorus. A staff of five women and five men from the local area
work full-time at Gorus, and participate in transporting, sorting,
packing, and delivering organic farm produce.
Gorus has also connected with more than 10 rural enterprises across
five states (Maharashtra, Karnatak, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra
Pradesh) which produce organic, eco-friendly products.
